To clarify, TKF never extracts or directly stores the user’s private key. Instead, it applies real-time encryption inside the user’s own wallet. Here’s how:
Secure Wallet Creation
During wallet creation, the seed phrase is divided into three shards using Shamir's Secret Sharing.
Decentralized Storage
Two of the shards are stored in encrypted format on the IPFS cloud, while one shard is given to the user to maintain decentralization.
Effortless Wallet Recovery
To recreate the wallet, the user must provide either their shard or the password used during wallet creation.

How It Works
MindGTC uses an "Shamir's Secret Sharing" a cryptographic technique that splits your private key into multiple encrypted pieces called shards, combined with cutting-edge cryptography:
Private Key FragmentationWhen you create your wallet, your private key is split into 3 encrypted pieces using a secure algorithm.
- Shard Storage
One shard is stored locally on your device. Two shards are stored securely on IPFS (InterPlanetary File System — a decentralized storage network)
- Recovery with 2 of 3
To recover your wallet, only 2 of the 3 shards are needed. This ensures both resilience and security.
- Email + Password Unlock
During recovery, you simply enter your email and password. This authenticates you and triggers the secure retrieval and reconstruction of your private key — only inside your device.

No private key and seed phase is ever stored directly
“We never store your ECDSA private key like all other wallets. It exists only in memory during reconstruction and is split into 3 encrypted shards — one on your device, two on IPFS.”
Even if ECDSA becomes vulnerable, your key cannot be retrieved unless all layers are breached
“Even in the future where ECDSA may be breakable, your private key is protected by multiple quantum-resistant layers — distributed storage, encrypted shards, and user-controlled recovery.”

User private key is securely generated and stored locally on your device. The 2 split shards of the mnemonic phrase are stored in encrypted format on the IPFS InterPlanetary Storage.

Users can recover their wallet using their recovery email and private key, or by providing the shard and password they securely stored during wallet creation.
